Whether your child gets direct social work services or only sees me in their classroom, here are some ideas for you when Walsh School has taken an E-Learning day.
  • Do something cooperative like building something together either inside or outside, (like a snowman or a Lego structure) make a meal together (breakfast or lunch), or find a board game to play.
  • Watch or read a book about feelings and talk about times you've had and they've had various feelings. Or find a book that excites your child or you and talk about the feelings each of you are having.
  • Pull up Sesame Street episodes either on You Tube or at sesamestreet.org
  • Tell stories about snow days you remember.
  • Have a conversation with you and your child or set up a Zoom (etc.) conversation with a friend or other family member.
